ÖZET
Sağlık sistemleri içerisinde en çok kaynak tüketen hastalıklar arasında kronik hastalıklar yer almaktadır. Alzheimer hastalığı (AH) diğer nörodejeneratif hastalıklar gibi kronik bir beyin rahatsızlığıdır ve demans tipi hastalıklar içerisinde en yaygın görülenidir. Erken, orta ve ileri olmak üzere üç aşamada ilerleme gösteren bir hastalık olan Alzheimer hastalığın maliyeti evresine göre değişmektedir. Bu araştırmanın amacı AH’nin evrelerine göre toplam maliyetini toplum perspektifinden analiz etmektir. Çalışmanın evrenini, 1 Ocak - 31 Aralık 2016 tarihleri arasında Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Araştırma ve Uygulama Hastanesi’nde tedavi gören 70 Alzheimer hastası oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem seçilmemiş olup tüm evren çalışmaya dahil edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, AH’nin evrelerine göre toplam yıllık maliyeti toplumsal perspektif ile tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre AH’nin yıllık toplam maliyeti erken evrede 11.410,10 TL, orta evrede 34.381,15 TL ve ileri evrede 61.268,67 TL olarak saptanmıştır. Çalışmanın sonuçları AH’nin Türkiye’deki maliyeti hakkında fikir vermesi açısından önemlidir.
ABSTRACT
Chronic diseases, comparing to the other type of diseases, consume most of the resources in the health systems. Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a chronic cerebral disorder such as other neurodegenerative diseases and is the most common type of dementia. Alzheimer's disease progress over three stages, early, moderate and severe. The cost of Alzheimer's disease varies depending on the stage of the disease. The purpose of this study is to determine the cost of Alzheimer's Disease (AD) from the perspective of the society. The study's universe consists of 70 Alzheimer's patients who were treated at the Süleyman Demirel University Research and Practice Hospital between January 1 and December 31, 2016. Sample not selected taken and all of the universe has included in the study. As a result the total annual cost of Alzheimer's disease according to stages was determined from the perspective of society. According to the results of the research, the total annual cost of AD was 11.410,10 TL for the early stage, 34.348,15 TL for the moderate stage and 61.268,67 TL for the severe stage. The results of the study are important to give an idea of the cost of AD in Turkey.
